This initiative will provide 7.5 Billion a year for road repair, with funds provided by taxes on diesel and gasoline. This initiative will provide 7.4 billion a year for transportation projects including bus, light rail, and bike lanes, using the sales tax on cars and on car insurance and some fines for traffic tickets.
The reason the state of CA keeps asking for more money is that the lawmakers keep diverting funds to their pet projects. Even the latest gas tax increase of 70& effective 11/1/17--has been raided and looted. Politicians need to work with lock boxes and stop raiding our gas taxes. CA state budget is outrageous.
Stop being a sanctuary state and providing so much free stuff to illegal immigrants., especially criminal illegal immigrants. We are a magnet for people looking for free handouts.
