My Top 3 Priorities
Direct staff to maximize tax dollars by reaching out to parents of elementary and middle schoolers to start college prep early.
Direct staff to expand concurrent enrollment for high school students, as it saves tuition money when students graduate high school with transferable university units.
Direct staff to ensure that Santa Clara Unified families have equal scholarship and financial aid access for both West Valley and Mission Colleges because our side of the District pays for BOTH colleges' costs.

Nicholas Stampolis University Student
As a recent graduate of Santa Clara Unified School District, I earned my Associate’s Degree at Mission College at the same time as my high school diploma.By concurrent enrollment in college classes while studying for my high school courses, I earned admission to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s Food Science major and the university accepted two years of transfer credit to cover most of my general education requirements.
I am running for West Valley-Mission Community College Board because our community needs a fresh, sensible young voice on the board to represent the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s students.Whether you are a homeowner or a renter, you want your tax money to be used efficiently.Helping capable students to complete college units while they are in high school reduces costs to families and increases the college completion rate.We have to protect this program and to enhance tutoring and transfer opportunities too.
I appreciate the opportunity Mission College offered to me.Now we have to publicize these opportunities to parents so students prepare for their achievement potential.I will be respectful and collaborative, while bringing my experience as a student leader to the Board table. Please vote for Nicholas Stampolis for WVMCCD Board.nicholasstampolis@yahoo.com
