Questions & Answers
Questions from LWV San Jose/Santa Clara (3)
How will you make sure the district keeps our children safe when they return to the classroom?
Answer from Anthony Macías:
I believe the district should re-open and implement mandatory face coverings, as well maintain social distancing as much as possible. We would need to find innovate ways for children to interact and play while keeping their distance because play is an important part of child development.
How well is this district doing in making sure that all children are having access to resources (digital and otherwise) for distance learning, and what would you do to improve it?
Answer from Anthony Macías:
I firmly believe in-person lessons nees to resume. This would also reduce the burden on distance learning capacity for those students who still choose to utilise it.
How do you think the district should financially handle the extra strain on the budget from Covid-19 and distance learning expenses?
Answer from Anthony Macías:
I believe the district needs to re-open so our students can be educated properly. This would reduce distance learning costs.
