Biography
Lived in Sunnyvale since 1968 (52 years) and have seen a great many changes as population increases have reduced open space both within the city and in surrounding area.
Graduated San Jose State with a BA and MA in social sciences and taught U.S. History at Sunnyvale Middle School for 37 years.
Represented Sunnyvale on Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District Board since 1996 and currently the Board Secretary
Currently the Open Space District representative on the Santa Clara Valley Water District Water Commission

Political Philosophy
I believe publically available open space preserves in close proximity to our urban area enhances the quality of life for us all. The current Covid 19 situation demonstrates the essential value of open spaces beyond the enhanced air and water quality they provide.
