My Top 3 Priorities

  • Provide leadership to successfully recruit and hire a new superintendent for our school district using my experience, expertise and networks. This is the most important current challenge to our school district and for the future of our students.
  • Increase compensation for teachers and other school employees, including support for housing. This means securing new revenues. The future of the school district depends on the ability to employ the excellent educators that our children deserve.
  • Implement Vison 2025, SFUSD's ambitious roadmap for the future, including our continuing focus on our equity agenda to support the success of all students, and building the Arts Center and new Ruth Asawa School of the Arts in the Civic Center.
