Joe Patterson and his wife Colleen understand the challenges facing today’s families as they work to raise their four children. That’s what propelled Joe to get involved in public service and eventually run for the City Council. Joe’s top priority is to make our community a better place to live, work and raise a family.

Joe graduated with a B.A. in Government from California State University Sacramento and was selected for the post-graduate Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellowship where he began his career working in the California State Assembly.

For the past 15 years, Joe has worked in the public policy and political arena helping community leaders, businesses and organizations navigate complex issues.  Joe was recognized by the California State Assembly as being “respected by his peers for his policy acumen, strategic instincts, and political skills.”  As an elected official himself and former Mayor, he uniquely understands the interplay between policy and effective issue engagement.

In November 2016, Joe was elected to the Rocklin City Council as the top-vote getter and served as its Mayor in 2019. Re-elected in 2020, he also served for 5 years as the Treasurer of the Rocklin Public Safety Foundation and sits on several local boards and commissions. 

While middle America struggles to make ends meet, the liberal political elite either ignore our concerns or actively work to squash our freedoms. When we question their policies, they are the ones who seek to cancel our voice. When we fall victim to crime, they are the ones who ignore the victims and coddle the criminals.

It is time to fight back. We must defend our freedoms, including the economic principles upon which our small businesses thrive. We must guard against the encroachment upon our freedom of speech, including the censorship of media and technology. I’m ready to fight this battle to save California. We must restore the American dream.

Greg and his wife Marcia are proud Parents, Grandparents, Great Grandparents, and longtime Roseville residents.  Following successful Air Force, commercial aviation, and small business development careers, Greg began a short-lived retirement late in 2019.  Close personal encounters with homelessness issues incited Greg to seek office in an effort to impact that issue and others that lead to the symptom of homelessness.

Greg is comfortable leading, following or coaching from the sideline. Taking time to pursue the knowledge needed to understand problems, Greg is decisive when implementing possible solutions and measuring the effectiveness of a program. He is ready to modify or abandon a program in the face of new information or lackluster results. “if it ain’t workin’, don’t do that anymore”.
