Questions & Answers
Questions from League of Women Voters of California (3)
What financing method(s) would you support to repair or improve roads, rails, ports, airports, the electrical grid, and other infrastructure in the U.S.?
Answer from John Wesley Tyler:
I support a Green New Deal at the Federal level to finance the construction of a 21st century grid focused on the creation and distribution of renewable energy to all parts of the nation. We can pay for the program by increasing the corporate tax base, reducing military spending and eliminating current subsidies to the fossil fuel industry.
What programs or legislation, if any, would you support to help Americans of all ages to secure affordable health care?
Answer from John Wesley Tyler:
I support a Medicare for All system that would eliminate insurance premiums and copays and would provide universal healthcare to all Americans.
Describe an immigration policy that you would support if presented to the House of Representatives.
Answer from John Wesley Tyler:
I support an immigration system that is compassionate and welcoming for the people that are coming to this country. We should never be separating little children from their parents or holding them in cages at the border. This country is known for being a land of immigrants and we should strive to uphold those values of inclusion and community that make us a beacon for hope around the world.

My Top 3 Priorities
Kicking corporate money out of our electora system once and for all will make so much positive change possible.
Transforming our energy system into a carbon neutral one, and leading other countries to do the same, is the most important work that any elected official can be doing.
Reforming our criminal justice system, which disproportionately punishes people of color and people who do not have a lot of money.

What financing method(s) would you support to repair or improve roads, rails, ports, airports, the electrical grid, and other infrastructure in the U.S.?
Answer from Jason Kishineff:
I think we need a $2 trillion infrastructure bill to improve and epair roads, bridges, etc. These costs are a huge burden to local and state governments, which often pass the costs on to residents as taxes or tolls, and that hurts the working class a lot more than it hurts the wealthy. Federal infrastructure bills are the best way to spend into the economy and create jobs because these bills are almost 100% investment spending and do not create inflation at all.
What programs or legislation, if any, would you support to help Americans of all ages to secure affordable health care?
Answer from Jason Kishineff:
I support single payer healthcare, which is to say, improved and expanded Medicare for all. This will cover dental care, mental health care, optometry and even hearing aids for seniors, and will cost most Americans less than we are currently paying.
Describe an immigration policy that you would support if presented to the House of Representatives.
Answer from Jason Kishineff:
Since conservatives are worried about undocumented immigrants, I would support documenting them. Any immigrant who has been living here for three years has been contributing to our economy and paying taxes, and should be given citizenship.
