Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I'm a Democrat because I believe in the principles every other Democrat holds dear.

We believe in social justice, quality public education for all children no matter their zip codes, universal quality health care, a healthy planet for ourselves and our children, and in coming together for the common good by raising the appropriate amount of revenues to provide benefits for our fellow Americans in need.

These premises seem so obvious and simple, but we must constantly fight to achieve them and once achieved, fight to keep.

And I'm dedicated to doing just that.

Through my service on the County Party’s Resolutions Committee, I have the privilege of helping to shape our policy positions around our values.

Through my service on the Elections Protection Committee, I work in an oversight capacity with the Registrar/Recorder to ensure access to the ballot box for every voter and to ensure all valid ballots are counted accurately.  I will not become complacent in this basic task that is so vital for maintaining our democracy.

Through my environmental advocacy I lobby elected state and federal officials to pass crucial legislation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions fully by 2050.  We owe this to our children.

I hope you find me worthy of your vote.
