I'm an Oakland native who graduated from Castlemont High School and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Public Administration. I attended the University of Tulsa for my BA in Political Science and is a former Division 1 college football athlete. For almost 20 years, I have worked to lift up community, including 9 years as a volunteer at the Ira Jenkins/Brookfield Recreational Center in East Oakland.
While working with Building Futures for Women and Children, I housed nearly 200 homeless families. I'm a certified domestic violence counselor and serves as a commissioner on the City of Oakland’s Budget Commission and was an Oakland Mayoral candidate in 2018. I currently work as an advocate for unhoused people in the SF/Marin County Food Bank’s Advocacy & Policy Division.
I'm number No. 27 on your Democratic ballot and the third person on the top roll!
