Sabrina Cervantes was elected in 2016 to represent Corona, Norco, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, and a portion of the City of Riverside in the State Assembly. She serves as the chair of the Assembly Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy Committee, working to create an economy in California that works for everyone. She also serves on the Assembly committees for Banking and Finance, where she works to protect the rights of consumers, and Public Employment and Retirement. Sabrina chairs the Assembly’s Select Committee on Veteran Employment and Education.
Over the course of her three years in the legislature, Sabrina has delivered commonsense solutions to the problems we face and results for our families. Sabrina’s record of getting things done includes authoring legislation to help small businesses and seniors find long-term care, securing over $400 million dollars to reduce Riverside County traffic and repair roads and bridges, $18 million for local parks funding, increasing school funding, delivering funding to build a Veterans Resource Center at Norco College, and helping Eastvale and Jurupa Valley fund public safety services and avoid bankruptcy.
Prior to her service in the legislature, Sabrina worked as a District Director for the State Assembly and as a Director for the California Voter Registration Project.
Sabrina is a lifelong Riverside County resident. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor in public policy from the University of California, Riverside, and she completed an executive education program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
