Impartial analysis / Proposal

Approval of Measure T ("Measure") would authorize the Board of Education ("Board") of the Glendale Unified School District ("District") to establish a three-term limit on Board service by elected members. The District placed the
Measure on the ballot by Resolution No. 15, "Resolution To Place Before the Electorate a Proposal Limiting the Number of Terms a Member of the Board May Serve," passed and adopted by the Board on January 18, 2022.

The District is governed by the Board, which consists of five members elected by the voters of the District to serve four year terms. There is currently no limit on the number of terms that an elected member may serve on the Board. This
Measure seeks to establish a three-term limit on the number of times an elected member may serve on the Board.

If approved, this Measure will apply prospectively to newly-elected terms beginning on or after July 1, 2022, and a Board member currently serving on the Board will be eligible to serve three additional terms as an elected Board
member. A Board member will not be deemed to have served an elected term if the member is elected to or appointed to fill a vacancy after a term begins, or if a Board member resigns or is removed from office before the term is completed.

A yes vote by a majority of the voters on this Measure will authorize the District to establish a three-term limit on Board service by members. If less than a majority of the voters vote yes on this Measure, the District will not be authorized to
establish a three-term limit on Board service by members.

This Measure requires approval by a majority of the qualified voters voting in the election.
