My Top 3 Priorities

  • Supporting transparency and efficiency in State spending through thorough audits of all State agencies.
  • Expanding social programs for the homeless in order to give them a hand up rather than a hand out.
  • Supporting traditional learning in schools with emphasis on math, sciences, and programs such as trades and basic personal finance. Prioritizing funding reaching the actual classrooms to prevent teachers from having to self-fund basic supplies.

Questions & Answers

Questions from League of Women Voters of California Education Fund (3)

How would you address California’s need for affordable housing for low- and moderate-income earners? Please include specific proposals.
Answer from Jeremiah "Jeremy" Marciniak:

I support restructing our current zoning regulations. I support using abandoned or unused commercial sites to create affordable housing communities that are rent-controlled.

How would you address the issue of California’s residents who are unhoused? Please include specific proposals.
Answer from Jeremiah "Jeremy" Marciniak:

I believe in enhancing social programs and working with existing nonprofits with established programs to give the unhouse a hand up rather than a hand out. I believe in supporting people in working to obtain employment and safe housing environments. I support tax incentives to businesses who make hires to support such programs in offering jobs to California residents who might not otherwise be hired in traditional employment.

What programs or legislation would you support to meet the water needs of all Californians?  Please include specific proposals.
Answer from Jeremiah "Jeremy" Marciniak:

We need to invest in infrastructure of storage and also promote desalinization for drinking water. We need to promote conservation while still ensuring access to adequate water supply for farmers.
