Deputy Mayor Caylin Frank is committed to prioritizing public safety, practicing fiscal discipline, and preserving the high quality of life in Poway. Caylin Frank has the long-term vision needed for Poway, and is endorsed by Mayor Steve Vaus and the entire Poway City Council. Caylin is public safety’s choice and is supported by the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of San Diego County and the Poway Firefighters Association.

Deputy Mayor Caylin Frank brings over a decade of public service experience to her position. Her knowledge and expertise of local and regional government provides Poway the leadership it deserves. Caylin is dedicated to being accessible and proactively engages with residents regularly.

As a councilmember, Caylin Frank’s record reflects her belief that small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and she is committed to protecting Poway’s small business community. Caylin has also supported park enhancements, the acquisition of more open space, affordable housing for senior veterans, the new community/senior center, and the revitalization of commercial centers.

Deputy Mayor Caylin Frank and her husband chose South Poway as their home to raise their family for its safe neighborhoods, great schools, and community values. As a mother, Caylin is deeply invested in the future of Poway and keeping our city on the right path forward

As a 30 year resident, I grew up in Poway, attending Tierra Bonita Elementary School going into Twin Peaks Middle School and graduating from Poway High School. I spent 8 years in the Navy as part of the Nuclear Power Program, the most academically challenging field the Navy offers. Following the Navy, I attained a degree in Computer Science, landing me as a Systems Engineer on multiple government contracts. As a homeowner and family man of a son 9, and newborn daughter, I want to give back to the community that molded me into the man I am.

Co-Chairing Poway's 2014 Budget Review Committee, taught me a great deal about how Poway operates financially. This deepened my aspiration to become a strong voice for change in our community. This election is the first chance for District 4, South of Poway Road, to have an independent voice.

This council has spent the last three years approving bigger developments with fewer amenities; rather than honor and prioritize a veteran housing project, as promised four years ago.

We need to see the level of transparency and accountability from the city and council improved, let's raise the bar!
