Biography
I have been a lifelong proponent for public education. As the child of drug addicts, and again as a foster parent, I know what a valuable asset our teachers and school staff are for children who need extra encouragement in their lives.
I work in public education as the Confidential Secretary to the Superintendent and the CBO's Accounting Clerk at Julian Union High School District. I have an intimate working knowledge of school district leadership and roles.
I became a Governing Board Member at Warner Unified School District four years ago; in that time our enrollment has increased 50% and we have created a diverse curriculum with lots of career and college opportunities for our students. In advocating for our school and its children, I have met with peers from other school boards and written to our legislators to bring awareness to the needs in rural education.
I will continue to serve our students, their families, and our community. I will be a relentless advocate for our children and strive to push forward with the advancements our district has begun.
