I am a chemical engineer with an MBA.  I own a chemical manufacturing business in San Leandro, which I opened 23 years ago after a career with Chevron.  

I have been actively involved in the community for decades, and currently serve as the volunteer president of the 6-county Golden Gate Area Council of the Boy Scouts, and previously served as the vice-president of the local Girl Scout Council.  I have chaired the Alameda County Workforce Development Board, the San Leandro Redevelopment Advisory Committee, and many other local organizations.

I currently serve as the President of the Oro Loma Sanitary Distict, as Chair of the East Bay Dischargers Authority, and as a member of the Executive Committee of the East Bay Economic Development Alliance.

I truly love my work at Oro Loma... there is an amazing staff dedicated to excellent customer service, maintainence of equipment, and long-term investment.

I believe the Oro Loma Sanitary District has a duty to protect the environment, especially the SF Bay, while provide outstanding service at the lowest possible cost.  We DO very WELL.

We should be constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to improve service while quickly discarding ideas that are not economically attractive for our rate payers.

Our mandate is narrow... waste water collection/treatment and residential/commercial solid waste pickup/disposal.  We must focus on doing this with excellence at a low cost and not spend rate payer money on projects outside that scope.
