After graduating from PHS, I went to college and law school in Virginia and then moved to Seattle to work as a labor and employment law attorney. I came back to Piedmont in 2009 with my husband and our two girls.
A lot of people in Piedmont know me as a producer of Beach Revue, the annual musical show that sees almost the entire school up on stage performing. I've also been a board member of PRAISE (the special education parents organization) and a board member of both the PMS and Beach parents' clubs. I was a member of the Piedmont Appreciating Diversity Committee. I've volunteered in many other ways, including library, classroom, sports, and lunches.
I have worked closely with special education teachers at five of the six Piedmont schools and understand the challenges and promise of students with learning differences. I will continue to advocate for these students.
My years as a labor and employment attorney taught me that fairness and good faith between the District and teachers leads to outstanding educational results. I want Piedmont’s amazing educators to have the facilities, materials, and support to continue to succeed.
Through my kids, I have been involved with soccer, softball, and after-school classes. I was on the PHS swim team.
