As the current Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) Board chair, I am proud of my part in LARPD’s response to the COVID-19 crisis and our ability to keep the parks, open spaces, and trails open. We have all seen how essential they are to our community’s health and well-being. Keeping them open is a priority for me.
During the COVID-19 crisis, my focus will be on encouraging new ways to offer our classes and programs as we work with the most recent health orders and guidelines to keep our community safe and healthy. I also support LARPD’s continued partnership with the City of Livermore and the Livermore Valley Unified School District to help us all get through this crisis together.
Once the pandemic is behind us, my priorities will be:
Providing programs and facilities that promote healthy, active lifestyles
Continuing to streamline our operations so that we reduce our expenses and spend your tax dollars wisely
Achieving overall trail connectivity
·I want to continue to represent you on the LARPD Board to ensure we remain the leader for vital recreation facilities and programs that affect your quality of life in the Livermore area.I ask for your support.
