Here are a few key issues that I would like to work on in my community. I care about and respect that many people have special challenges at this time. I care deeply about the needs of homeless and underserved people in Union City. I will push for debris boxes, property maintenance assistance, mobile showers, and health care to address the needs of our community. We need to bring this issue to the forefront of the community as this is a deep concern that needs to be addressed.
Union City, like most cities face challenges in building housing. The challenges are affordability and adhering to our State mandates which can be extremely challenging, but as a Council Member we need to look outside the box to collaboratively comes to decision that will benefit our community.
I am running to make a change in Union City. My campaign is a grassroots campaign, with all donations and help coming from the community. I am not taking any donations from public organizations for this reason. I have raised close to $2,000 and will earmark another $3,000 of my personal money if needed. I paid for a ballot statement that reflects my experience and my commitment to the community.
I have a deep concern for youth violence in our community and being a parent, I can appreciate the challenges that come with raising a family. I will be working closely with Supv. Richard Valle, one of my key endorsers on his Dig Deep Program, which works with hard to employ youth and At Promise kids. Dig Deep is a non-profit organization that has been successful in surrounding communities and I want to bring it to my community.
I am a leader, not a follower and lead with honesty and integrity. I am an advocate for the people of the community, I am not running for office to gain power, rather I am running for office to help my community.. With me you get a genuine, honest person, with a high regard for leading with truthfulness in everything I do.
