Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I believe strongly in the principles of democracy and the inalienable rights of all people in the world.  I am against segregation of any sort both public and private.  I believe Healthcare  is a right and not a privilege and that the government should make every effort to ensure that this happens.  I believe that there should more support for tuition costs of student attending any institution of higher learning and that graduates should have alternatives such as public service to work off college debt.   I want our public infrastructure to be repaired and hope that it would become a way to provide decent jobs for the willing workers among us.  I want the country to turn away from the restrictive immigration policies promulgated by the current  president,  I want to see our criminal justice system looked at made to reflect more compassion and rehabilitation than just punishment.  I want the the country to seriously address the problems of climate change and work to truly working to a solution of all of the climatic dangers we face.
