A west coast native, Helen has lived in the Bay Area for most of her life.  She’s seen the Peninsula evolve and knows what makes it special - and what it takes to keep it that way.  


Helen strives to create communities that include environmental resilience, educational opportunities, and affordability. Through her sustainability work, Helen effectively improved and increased green spaces in Burlingame, Mountain View, and East Palo Alto. As a high school teacher, Helen taught first-generation students and now happily collaborates with her former students to make communities stronger. 


She is committed to solving problems for people – improving environmental resilience, finding educational solutions while working to make housing more accessible. She has a proven track record of working on creating resilient communities and helping to create a sustainable quality of life for all residents.
