My Top 3 Priorities
I will be a voice for education and the arts. I want to make sure teachers are supported and compensated so we can make sure our children are getting the best education. The children of Whittier deserve the best education.
Business development in District 1 is very important, as it lacks new business, old business redevelopment, lighting and cleanliness in most of the district.
Public safety is another important issue for me. I want to make sure our first responders have the equipment needed for their protection, and the greenway trail needs lighting.

Education

This has been the only city I have lived in my entire life. I love Whittier and I want to make sure I represent District 1 to the best of my ability.
Graduated from Sierra High School and I studied at Rio Hondo College 1981-1983.
I’ve been involved with many community organizations. Including, as the past president and current board member of the Whittier Sunrise Rotary, the Whittier Regional Symphony, and of the Whittier Voters Coalition.
I've been involved in providing domestic services since 1984 when I obtained my first employment agency license. I have been in that same business and now own my own domestic agency "Oscar's Domestic Agency" for over 25 years.

Political Beliefs
Political Philosophy
I've been a life time Democrat and have always believed in equality for all. I believe that education is important in life because it gives people the skills and tools they need to navigate the world. Without education, people would not be able to read, write, calculate or communicate, they would also not be able to perform jobs accurately and safely. The education of females is very important because it can prevent many abuses and injustices suffered by women.
