Geoff currently serves as chair of Finance and Governmental Operations and is a member of the Employee Relations and Public Safety Committee and Transportation Committee. He also serves as a voting delegate of the South Bay Cities Council of Governments and member of the Special Standing Armed Forces Day Committee, Federal Legislative Advocacy. He is the Alternate Voting Delegate to the Sanitation District of Los Angeles County.
Previously, Rizzo served as Chair of the Transportation Committee, Community Planning and Design Committee. He served as a member of the Finance and Governmental Operations Committee.
Prior to his election to the Council, Geoff served as chair of the Planning Commission.
Geoff Rizzo has been involved in the community as a Boy Scout Pack leader, AYSO coach and youth football commissioner.
A 63-year resident of Torrance, Geoff is a graduate of Bishop Montgomery High School. He earned an associate's degree from El Camino College and bachelor's and master's degrees in public administration from Cal State University, Dominguez Hills.
Geoff Rizzo is a retired lieutenant with Torrance Police Department. He and his wife, Donna, have two adult children.
