I have been fortunate to call Covina home for all 25 years of my life. I attended Cedargrove Elementary, Royal Oak Middle School, and Bishop Amat High School. After Amat, I attended Citrus College and transferred to UCLA, where I earned my bachelor’s degree from UCLA. More recently, I earned my master’s degree from the University of Chicago in Social Science Research with an emphasis in Sociology. I believe the best way to impact the community is through public service. Currently, I am a sociology instructor at Santa Ana College and I run academic intervention at Cedargrove Elementary. I chose to work in the education field because I value the tremendous responsibility of preparing my students to lead great lives and ensure they are equipped to make a difference in the world. In addition to these roles, I want to serve as your council member because through this role I can make a difference for my hometown. I truly love this city and I will ensure to work for the betterment of Covina and all the residents who call this great place home.
