Vote YES on I to keep outstanding teachers and high-quality academic programs in Castro Valley Unified School District schools.
Our teachers are essential to student success. However, the Bay Area is one of the most expensive places to live in the country and there is a widespread teacher shortage. If we don't remain competitive, we risk losing our best teachers. We need to keep qualified and experienced teachers in our classrooms.
Our schools have already made significant cuts totaling $1.8 million in the last two years alone. We are one of the lowest-funded districts in Alameda County and cannot rely on the State to provide adequate funding.
Your YES vote is critical. We need Measure I to fill the budget gap and prevent even more cuts to our classrooms.
Measure I requires local control and independent oversight to ensure that every penny is
spent as promised. Plus, voting YES on I is an investment in strong property values in our
community.
