My Top 3 Priorities

  • Ensure MCOE support for local districts and their teachers by hosting local educational and classroom management workshops, offering teachers mentoring support, and working to reduce student absenteeism
  • Work with local districts in "Differentiated Assistance" to remedy low achievement of students whose disabilities range from mild learning deficits to severe physical and emotional handicaps.
  • Advocate for programs and policies that will attract new qualified teachers to Mendocino County schools

I am...
  • a parent of two teens in Ukiah schools
  • a lifelong resident of Mendocino County who is familiar with the unique challenges and opportunities in the communities in our county
  • a community-engaged project manager at North Coast Opportunities,
  • a credentialed K-8 teacher who understands the demands of the career,
  • a UHS Site Council member and former UUSD District Advisory Council member

As an MCOE trustee, I will offer a new lens and thoughtful approach to the Board, assuring the relevancy of MCOE and offering guidance and perspective to the newly-elected superintendent.
