My Top 3 Priorities

  • Engaging all community stakeholders in the process of problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Supporting our Public Safety entities: Ross Valley Firefighters and Central Marin Police
  • Supporting flood mitigation efforts and strategies. Exploring and expanding the economic vitality of al San Anselmo businesses.

As the former Community Resources Director for San Anselmo, I am intimately connected with all aspects of the Town: events, traffic, flooding, finances and viability of all businesses.

Workiing as a community partner has always been my focus. As an educator, I am proud to have founded the Leadership program at Drake High school and to have participated in the openingof their Wellnss Center.

In working as a department manager for the Town, I started many of San Anselmo's community events which, today, continue to bring residents together: the Picnics on the Plaza, Goblins' Parade, Beatles in the Park,Creekside "Q." and many more. In addition, I coordinated the many volunteers who helped in the recovery after the flood of "05.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Strong Leadership is about involving people; taking the time to listen, getting their input, and asking them for options and ideas. This is community engagement. Being a community partner is what I am and what I do.

Assemblyman Marc Levine said of me:

"Kay is not afraid to tackle the hard issues in San Anselmo. She believes in community-based governance and I am proud to support her candidacy for San Anselmo Tow Council."
