My Top 3 Priorities

  • RIDER SAFETY - Increase rider safety through greater BART Police presence on trains, stations, and in parking lots. Additional Police shifts to cover evening and weekend hours. Expanded use of mental health professionals and homelessness advocates.
  • FIX ANTIOCH/PITTSBURG eBART - Add much needed additional station parking, on-site station agent availability and regular BART Police presence.
  • MANDATE ACCOUNTABILITY - Demand fiscal transparency, accountability and cost efficiencies from BART Management. Identify alternative revenue opportunities to minimize future fare increases.

Community Activities

President, Delta Baseball and Softball League (2015–2016)
Board Member, Special Kids Foundation (2011–2013)

After fallng in love with the Bay Area while on vacation, my family moved from upstate New York to Walnut Creek in 1979.

I have been a resident of Contra Costa County for over 39 years, the last 15 years as a homeowner in Antioch.

While attending Diablo Valley College, I met my wife Cindy.

After graduating from DVC, I began working at the East Bay Municipal Utility District in Oakland, where I recently celebrated my 25th Anniversary.

I’ve always believed in being part of my community and performing public service.  While my daughters were growing up, I managed both of their softball teams over a 14 year period, include serving as a two-term President for the Delta Baseball and Softball League.  Additionally, I served as a Board Member of the Special Kids Foundation, serving the needs of families with developmentally disabled children.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Being a daily BART commuter for the last 25 years, I’ve seen firsthand how BART has become an unsafe, unsanitary, and inefficient transit system.

Rather than complaining about the problem, I want to be part of the solution.
