Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

The quality of life in a community is defined by many things: public safety, economic opportunity, decent and affordable housing, cultural diversity, open spaces and public transportation.  The degree to which we improve our public transportation network is the degree to which we enhance all of these elements of our quality of life.  AC Transit is vital to low income residents, to the elderly, the disabled, students, and commuters. I have an absolute commitment to fight for reliable and continuous funding so that we can have a sustainable, dependable and safe bus and paratransit system while insuring affordable fares. AC Transit is an important option for all of us, and the only option for many of us.
