We have longstanding funding and opportunity inequities throughout San Mateo County. I am committed to addressing these issues to ensure that all kids are prepared to lead into the future.
I have experience from the classroom to the boardroom. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education & Psychology, as well as a law degree from U.C. Hastings. I taught kindergarten and 1stGrade in the South San Francisco Unified School District. I have been a PTA President and a Board Member for the San Mateo Mothers Club and the San Mateo National Little League. I co-founded “Not Without Us” to address systemic issues in educating students with disabilities.
I served as a Trustee for the San Mateo-Foster City School District where I supportedcommunity engagement, student-centered decisions, accessible math pathways, one school schedule districtwide, music for all kids, increased teacher salaries, and school counselors.
I am currently a member of the San Mateo County Commission on Disabilities and the San Mateo County Office of Education’s Personnel Commission. My work in the community centers on issues impacting youth, educators and families, including access to education and housing, mental health awareness, disability rights and inclusive communities.
I am endorsed by the California Teachers Association, local educator unions, elected officials, leaders, teachers and community members. I will always listen to your concerns and ideas, and I respectfully ask for your vote.
