My Top 3 Priorities

  • Fiscal Prudence and Transparent oversight. As a fiduciary on Brea Olinda Unified I have developed award winning programs, balanced budgets and allocated every tax dollar efficiently.
  • Affordability. Students can't carry lifelong debt from college. I will work tirelessly to limit licensing, parking and campus fees. Jr. colleges must be economic and effective gateways to robust careers that support Orange County families
  • Diverse and enriched course offerings, one to one technology training. Support services to welcome reentry and second career students for a post Covid economy.

I have devoted my entire career to public education as a public school teacher, speech language pathologist and elected school board member.

As a Brea Olinda Board Trustee, I have helped build a TEAM that makes partnerships, not politics, a priority. At Brea I helped assemble teams with proven records of success, creating innovative programming and developing student achievement, including 3 distinguished schools, a magnet school and a dual language program, growth of ROP courses and vocation-education community college offerings. I believe that American students need to learn how to build our new economy and that requires partnerships with tech-trade community partners.

With a proven record of responsible fiscal management as a member of the California Health and Financing Authority, I am a fiduciary of a 600 million dollar budget, ensuring and safeguarding tax dollars and will make sure our college students have access to community facilities and are approriated to student/community members health and welfare. I am a proud advocate of mental health as a survivor of family suicide and recognize the need for intervention, open discussions and support for every student and community member. I will continue to allocate for appropriate resources during this time of Covid and beyond.

I am a proud product of Fullerton College, Cal State Fullerton and the University of California System.
