My Top 3 Priorities

  • Successful construction of facilities to accommodate future enrollment growth - we must live up to past practice with on-time on-budget projects adhering to the Facilities Master Plan as presented to our community
  • Critical budget decisions as more students enter our schools - given that we are locally funded, increased enrollment means tighter budgets while still continuing to provide a world-class education for all of our students
  • Support for struggling students and mental health services - academic success for all our students must be the goal; ongoing mental health services play a critical role in this success

As current board president, I'm proud of our very successful high school district.  I am seeking a second term to provide continuity on many long-term district plans as well as to address future student needs.  Sustained leadership is essential for these key issues:

  • Construction to accommodate future enrollment growth;
  • Critical budget decisions as more students enter our schools;
  • Support for struggling students and mental health services; and,
  • Ongoing teacher support for new curriculum requirements.

My strong record of education leadership began with PTA involvement and includes: current MVLA Trustee (2014-present); Co-Chair, 2018 MVLA Measure E Bond Measure; MVWSD Trustee (2004-2012); Chair, 2012 MVWSD Measure G Bond Measure; Graduate, Masters in Governance, 2005; Leasdership Mountain View 2005; Los Altos LEAD 2015.

I am a 24-year Mountain View resident with two recent Mountain View High School graduates.  I would be honored to have your vote.
