Political Beliefs

Position Papers

We face a ression and a country in need of jobs and in need of repair.

Summary

Congress is in a catch 22 they because they have been so bought by special interest they are not effectve in voicing the needs of the comunities or our Environment. We need to bring Jobs to the valley through a criticialinfrastructure repair program, as FDR once did that will take us out of this spiral.

Our district needs an influx of jobs. FDR created a secure and strong workforce to
combat the Depression. If we start protecting our Electric Grid a variety of new jobs will be
created on every level from management to contractors to highly technical to unskilled labor. The transformers we need for the
grid are all built overseas. We need to bring this industry back to America and the San Fernando
Valley is the perfect place to do this work. Also we need to get the Motion Picture Film Industry
back here where it belongs. We need to create a favorable climate for the Studios to work here
again. What is needed is tax credits and incentives to keep our work from being shipped overseas. In
regards to that I think that any American company who ships their work overseas should be
charged a huge import tariff on their products. We need to get America back into the
manufacturing business that once made us the envy of all.

Environment

JFK said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your
country. We must not neglect our environment. We are undergoing a record drought in our
state and we need to apply ourselves to conserving and collecting water. We must stop the
rape of the planet. It is our home. We must get off fossil fuels and in to renewable energy. These are subjects I have been talking about for years as featured in my documentary film AMERICAN EMPIRE. The environment must not suffer because the millionaire's in Congress is putting corporate profit above preserving our resources.
