Actividades comunitarias
Dr. Joaquin Arambula was born in Delano and has spent almost his entire life in the Central Valley. At an early age, his parents instilled in him a commitment to hard work and public service, as well as a dedication to making the Central Valley a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
A product of Fresno public schools and former Head Start student, Joaquin attended medical school with the goal of serving the health care needs of rural communities. After medical school, he immediately returned to the Valley and worked as an emergency room doctor at Adventist Medical Center in Selma, serving patients from many, rural farm-working communities in the San Joaquin Valley. In 2012 he was appointed Medical Director. Under his leadership, the Selma Emergency Department was recognized as one of the most efficient emergency departments in the state.
Joaquin is known as a team player with strong decision-making skills in the constantly fast-paced, high-stress environment of the ER. As a physician, he has been on the frontlines of some of the Valley’s most serious problems, and he has seen the issues that impact the lives of Valley residents. He is committed to ensuring everyone gets the care they deserve, regardless of their social or economic status.
In the same way that Joaquin put the care of his patients first, he will always put the people of the Central Valley above politics.
Joaquin and his wife, Elizabeth live in Kingsburg with their three young daughters.

Ballot Statement
As a Valley native and ER doctor in Selma, I have been on the frontlines tackling some of the Valley’s most serious problems. As a husband and a dad, I am dedicated to making our Valley a healthier place to live, work and raise a family.
Fighting for Our Water Supply. I will take on the politicians who are taking our water. I will work to stabilize our long-term water supply and create jobs by fighting for more water storage.
Working for Quality Health Care. As the only doctor in the Assembly, I will work to increase access to quality health care and recruit medical professionals to rural communities.
Supporting Our Public Schools. As a product of Fresno schools and former Head Start kid, I know the importance of public education. That’s why I will invest in our public schools, support universal preschool and make college more affordable.
I am a doctor, not a politician, so I know how to solve problems under pressure and bring people together to get things done.
Sacramento has neglected the Valley for too long — I will fight the special interests and always put the Valley before politics to fight for our families.
