Shepherd is running because he wants to bring a good-sense approach to law making. He wants to be part of the team that shrinks the size and scope of the federal government. Doug states “I want to be at the forefront of the movement to restore the basic values that are the bedrock of this country. God, family, community and service.”
“Dad taught me that what people call common sense doesn’t always make good sense. Just because something sounds good does not make it right. Most of the time the feel good promises of politicians just don’t make good sense in the real world.”
“It is time for a good sense approach to government,” Shepherd states. We need to make government bureaucracy smaller so each individual is“bigger”. That means people are more powerful and have more liberty over their own lives. There is nothing more American then personal liberty. We need to cut taxes and put more money in people's pockets. More financial freedom means more control over their own lives. Let’s create jobs by strengthening American businesses, both big and small, through less regulation and reduced taxes. Strong American business means more security for the individual working person.”
I am ready to serve in Congress and be part of the solution, not more of the problem.”

Hello, Thanks for stopping by. I'm Cody Ryan. Age 29. Successful Fitness Entrepreneur and Investor.
Like most people, I'm not pleased with the way the government is. I don't trust most politicians. I'm tired of the corruption and wasteful spending. Every day it seems like there are more and more problems without any effective solutions being put into place.
So, I have decided to run for Congress.
Before I talk more about politics, I want to share a little about myself and why I'm doing what I do.
I love my life. I'm humbled and grateful. I'm happy. I'm healthy. I enjoy Monday mornings. I like meeting new people. I like to travel. I've made wise, successful decisions to put me where I am today. I've worked hard. I've worked smart.
People ask me for advice all the time. How do I get more fit? What are good exercises for 6 pack abs? How do I analyze an investment opportunity? How do I travel without spending thousands of dollars? I welcome these questions as it gives me the chance to share what I've learned over the years.
One of my main goals is to create a solid community of like minded, positive people. I want to stay connected with everyone. I want to hold monthly gatherings where we can talk about what's going on, share ideas, work together and take action. Free food. Fun. Good people. Opportunities to get involved in various projects.
I'm running for Congress to help empower the nation. But more importantly, I want to help empower the individual, because when the individuals are strong, the nation is strong.
I actually care about making the world a better place. It's really not about me. It's about all of us. I'm here to serve the people and stand up for what is right.

The US Government is broke. We are over $19 Trillion in debt. The US Dollar is starting to lose its role as the world's reserve currency. Interest rates are near zero, and there is now talk about negative interest rates. REAL unemployment is over 20%. The conditions that caused the 2007 recession crisis were masked by printing trillions of dollars; basically, just kicking the can down the road. We need political leaders who understand these things. I am one of those leaders.
The universal law of prosperity is clear - In order to build WEALTH, we must PRODUCE more than we CONSUME.
The United States was founded on excellent principles of Freedom and Limited Government. I believe we should return to the Constitution through all issues.
LOWER TAXES - Simplify the tax code.
MORE FREEDOM - Smaller, more efficient government.
STOP WASTEFUL SPENDING - Support economic growth.
As governments go more into debt, they get more desperate. They start passing more regulations. They start demanding more from their citizens. (For example: police shutting down little children's lemonade stands, civil asset forfeiture, etc.)
As Congressman, I will have an OPEN DOOR policy. If anyone needs anything, I want you to feel comfortable and welcome to walk into my office and let me know. Imagine having an affluent, powerful, down to earth, well connected friend who has your back. I'll be that guy for you.
