My Top 3 Priorities

  • Education has always been a key issue for me, particularly in the area of career technical training. We need to expand job-training programs and career pipelines, increase K-12 funding, and ensure that community college remains affordable for all.
  • I will continue to fight for better cleaner and safer neighborhoods. I have led the fight against the Exide battery plant and secured funding for those impacted. I authored two gun control bills this year in an effort to make our communities safer.
  • Ending homelessness in Los Angeles will continue to be an important issue for me. I have worked hard to provide funding for programs and housing for our families, veterans, and those with mental illness living on our streets.
