I earned AA in Business administration and a Bachelors of Arts degree in teaching from Cal State University of Long Beach.

My name is Amy Phan West. I am a proud conservative who is running for U.S. Congress to improve life for everyone who lives in California’s beautiful and diverse 47^th congressional district. Married and the mother of three young sons, it would be easy to let someone else take on this mammoth task, but saving California starts with me. 

It is critical that we stop the communist/socialist agenda in the 47th district and elsewhere in California from spreading to the rest of the United States. I have personally witnessed the horrors of socialism as a child in Communist Vietnam where family members were killed by the tyrannical government. My family escaped and as refugees we followed the legal immigration path to come to the United States. 

If honored to represent the 47^th California Congressional District, my focus will be – 

Providing better health care: There are ways to maintain America’s prominence as the world’s leader in health care services and procedures without destroying the health insurance industry (especially Medicare) with a government single-payer takeover. My focus begins by recognizing that American citizens should always receive quality health care before illegal aliens.

Tackling illegal immigration: Immigrants who come here legally will continue to be welcomed. Those who overstay their visas or sneak in should not find safe havens in sanctuary states or receive any form of government assistance. My efforts to reformin our nation's complex illegal immigration system will lesses the heavy strain on our health care, welfare and prison systems, resulting in better health care and government services.

Supporting our veterans: Whether its home or abroad, veterans risked their lives to protect the United States from those who wished to do us harm. I will work to ensure that veterans receive priority for their health care needs including mental health assistance.

Fixing California’s broken education system: What was once the envy of the nation, today’s mismanaged education system is the result of a Democratic Party agenda that rewards unions at the expense of students. My goal is for California’s education system to once again be in America’s top 10.

Confronting homelessness: With California the epicenter of homelessness in the United States, I will work to promote policies that take people off the streets. This includes providing mentally ill citizens with proper medical treatment while giving a hand up (rather than a handout) to fellow citizens who through no fault of their own need a place to live.

Creating energy reform without massive regulations: It’s imperative that we rollback unnecessary energy regulations to ensure there is enough energy for all Californians. Energy efficiency starts with proper land management as a key to reducing wild forest fires throughout the state.  

Supporting fair trade: With a nod to America First, trade deals must fair for the United States. There have been too many deals that benefited our partners at the cost of America losing out. When making these decisions in Congress, my focus will be America First.

I am a consistent social and economic conservative, a believer in the written as opposed to living Constitution.  I believe our rights and responsibilities come from God and that all individuals and nations are accountable to him.

I am a mother, wife and small business owner.   Once my children all reached adulthood, I decided to give back to my community in the form of volunteering in areas help was needed.  I was appointed by my city council representative to my city's Finance Commission and have reviewed and provided input on fiscal issues affecting out city.   I was also appointed to the citizens oversight committee of my local district Measure R bond oversight committee as well as the citizens oversight committee for the measure Q bond oversight committee in a neighboring school district.  

I started looking into changes being implemented into our public schools in 2016 and found that many parents were not aware of several laws that interfered with some of our parental rights once a child crossed the threashhold of a public school.  Once I learned that we lost the right to make decisions  regarding some of our childrens medical needs while our children are in school, I began reaching out to parents to make them aware of some of these policies.  

I have since dedicated the last four years of my life into researching laws that interfere and affect some of our parental rights and may place our children at risk.  

I have traveled to Sacramento repeatedly to advocated for parents and children in hopes that our political representatives will place safeguards in place to mitigate some of the damage being dragged into our public schools by overreaching policies.  

I believe that public schools should be a safe place for our children and they should remain free of political bias.  I do not believe our government should have more authority over the medical care of our children than parents have  and I do not believe the quality of our childrens academic education should be sacrificed  in order to push political agendas onto our children.

I entered the political life about 4 years ago. Since that time I am member of The Huntington Harbour Republican Women Federated, Huntington Beach Republican Assembly, Huntington Beach Surf City Tea Party. I participated rallies in front of Plant Parenthood, rallies at the Mexican border for the cause to build the wall, rallies against sanctuary state. I organized rally for the National Tea Part for democracy and against socialism. I have been delegate for the Huntington Beach Republican Assembly for the previous election and recent one for endorsing candidates at local, states and federal level. I am an Executive Committe Member for the Huntington Beach Surf City Tea Party, I am the Program Coordinator. I backed at the previous election 13 candidates. I walked precints, did phone calls. I am with The Election Integrety Project. Last election I monitored 6 voting polls, I also monitored at The Orange County Registrar Ofiice the ballotts verifications. I was in the Trump Team for electing the President, I am officially in the team for this election also.

I have a 4 years Technician school from Hungary for bookkeeping, accounting and statistics. I have an Associate degree from Golden West College in Huntington Beach for Busness and Real Estate. I worked as a bookkeper and a real estate agent before retirement.

I am a conservative, pro life candidate, who believe this country exeptionalism. Which is rooted with the uniquelly special Constitution with the Forfathers motto In God We Trust. Which is based in the Judean, Christian values. I believe The Feedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Press, and Freedom of Assembly. Therefor I strongly disagree with The Socialist, Communist Agenda, which is opressing these all. I strongly support the Second Amendment, people should be able to defend themself, as the Forfathers intended to do. I am against the Government controlled Education, which proven to be not just academically low, but demoralization from younger age our children. I am strongly for Charter Schools. 

I would like to see a democratic election, not an alterated one, when voting counted illegally and not the derermination of the citizen,s will.
