My Top 3 Priorities
- Education - Improving Quality and Access to Education I believe a solid education and good training is the foundation a strong vibrant economy is built upon.
- Quality Jobs - Improving the Quality of Life for Working Families. A strong working economy is the engine to a great California.
- Expanding Access to Health Care - Healthcare is a system, not just insurance coverage. We need a health care system, not just managed insurance.

Questions & Answers

Education and public awareness is key to approaching our water challenges. We must move away from procuring huge lawns. 70% of California's water is spent on landscaping. Xerescaping, is one great approach to helping California's water crunch..We can easily solve our water problems by being alert and aware of wasting water.
California is at the forefront of environmental policies that ensure clean air, clean water, clean soil, waste reduction, and protection from toxic substances. Awareness of California’s environmental policies is key to understanding evolving approaches to addressing the issue of environmental protection and all that it encompasses. We must protect California's fragile deserts, and beautiful coastlines. We must make sure that Central California, the bread basket of the world remains fertile and prosperous.
I support transparecny in campaign financing, and capping the amount that can be spent on a candidate by a corporation. Corporations are not people, and they should be held accountable and should be forced to publically announce when then spend more than $1,000 on any candidate or campagin.
Candidates should be forced to publically announce when when they receive contributions from anyone over $1,000.
I think this question was possed before California raised the minimum wage to $15 an hour. However we have to keep in mind that Californias mimimum wage will be $15, while the Republicans in government insist on keeping the middle wage at $7.25 per hour.
I support a livable wage for all of California's worker. Training and educaton is key to decreasing unemployment, and under employment.
Education. We must extend Proposition 30, which was approved by 7,000,000 voters when it was approved. It has brought in $68 milliion dollars into the State's bank accounts for education.
Affordable Housing. We can not let the American Dream of Home ownsership disspear in California. One approach is to separate the home appraiser from involved Real Estate Brokers and property owners who want to use homes for speculation, rather than family residences. We should approach this in much the same way as insider training on Wal Street.
Infrastructure. We must and can building better transportation not only for communting, but for the moving and distribution of durable goods and products. Building infrastructure not only benefits us from a transportation perspective, but also from the stand point that it create the jobs that fuel our economy.

Homelessness
Homelessness | Helping others is not socialism. It's social responsibility!
Many Californians are just a paycheck or two away from Homelessness. It is foolish not to recognize that homeless it not going away, and unfortunately it is expanding!
And so are the problems that come with it that we all face together. Homelessness is not a "them," it is an "us" problem. There are more and more homeless families, Seniors, homeless women, and sadly, more children under 16 years of age than ever.
Redlands Unified School District reports that there are over 1800 homeless children in the district. School Districts all across Senate District 23 and California report similar, large numbers of homeless kids. Homelessness is diverse, knows no boundaries, ages, and effects all kinds people. In Sacramento, I will speak up as a strong advocate on behalf of those with the least. If you haven't stood behind a food line, donated food, or helped to feed the hungry your success is only half finished.
