I was born in Oakland, CA. my father was a navy officer and we moved quit a bit in my early years. My mother was a teenage mom who excelled acadmeically. Graudating from highschool early, attending UC Berkley at 15, and getting her Masters in buisness at 27 all while rasing two sons. She continued on to be the CEO of her own company, and later first female CEO and President of other companies. I was raised with miltary values. Service, respect, strong work ethic family values. My family finally settled in Davis, CA. My birth parents split when I was 10. My mother remarried. She worked while my stepfather stayed at home to help rasie myself, my borther and my new sister. My step father was a gentle and great role model from moving from a military upbringing to a more compasionate diplomatic approach helping to balnce my outlook on life. I graduated from Davis Senior High not at the top of my class but with a national writing award for being in the top 10 percent of public and private schools in the country. I tried college for two years, and was succesful but unfullfilled. I moved to Colorado to "find myself" and found the a career I loved, electrical construction. I moved from Colorado to Portland OR. to continue my carreer has an electrician. I lived there for 7 years until finaly moving back to California. It was in 2001 that I moved to Santa Barbara. It was my dream to live here since I was a child. My wonderful aunt on my father's side, lived in Santa Barbara and took us in every holiday and summer going back to the early seveties. I have nothing but fond memories of being here. I started my own buisness in 2008, and once it took off I took my mom's business model that you give back to the community that you take from. Therefore our company regulary holds fundraisers, and donates to local causes.

It is a back to basic philosophy. Walk your district talk to your neighbors and bring thier hopes, dreams, and fears to city council. When I talk to members of the district, their concerns mostly align. Which quite honestly confuses me, when some special interest groups get involved they seem to polarize the communities. I want to see a city, and community work together and not be adveraerial. There are common sense solutions if we work together.
