My Top 3 Priorities

  • I’ll address the devastating effects of climate change: severe drought by developing programs to recycle/reclaim water for use in irrigation, farming and landscaping; reducing the traffic
  • I’ll tackle climate-induced flooding and sea-level rise & protect our open spaces, beaches, and forests for our future generations to enjoy. I’ll fund year-round investment in wildfire prevention & improve our coastal protections
  • End homelessness -- by expanding mental health, substance abuse, job training, and housing services; Ensure our future generations can stay in San Mateo County and our teachers, firefighters, and essential workers can live near where they work

Biography

Local Councilmember and former Mayor Laura Parmer-Lohan champions a vision for the County that includes communities prepared for any emergency such as wildfire, climate-induced flooding, and sea-level rise; housing near transit to fight traffic gridlock; and a region affordable to teachers, firefighters, essential workers, and future generations.

Her inclusive leadership style embraces the unique characteristics and needs of our diverse Coastal and Peninsula communities.
