Brief Bio - Brian Smith
I was born on March 10, 1962, in Meadowbrook, PA and grew up right outside of Philadephia, in a small town called Cheltenham, PA. I graduated from high school, entered the United States Marine Corps, obtained my BA degree (Magna Cum Laude) and promted to E-5 sergeant (in only 21 months). I then joined the California Highway Patrol where I was the Bakersfield Commander for four years, before promoting to Assistant Chief where I supervised about 1500 employees and managed multi-million dollar budgets. I then worked as a deputy chief for the Shafter Police Department. I am also the author of "COPTALES", which is a weekly article about true police stories. I am married to Nancy Smith and together, we have nine children and twelve grandchildren.
