Biography

Hello! My name is Nickolas Wildstar, and I’d like to tell you a bit about myself. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At the ripe age of 17, I moved to California where I have lived, and has been my home for over 20 years. Until recently I lived in Orange County, where I worked as a digital marketing specialist. My wife Crystal and I moved to Fresno to settle down and raise our family away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. I have also been a professional recording artist and a candidate for Fresno City Council, Fresno Mayor, and Governor. In 2018, I ran for Governor for many of the same reasons I’m asking you to give me your vote in the recall election and that’s to make our wonderful state a better place for us to raise our families and make a living.

I want my son, Chancellor, to grow up in a place where he feels safe, where he can find work and housing, and where he can raise his own family when the time comes. I don’t want him having to choose between making a successful life for himself and living in the same place he grew up. That’s what drives me to create the change that we need to make our neighborhoods safer, prosperous, and more inviting. If you trust me with your vote to be California’s next Governor, I will do everything within my power to tackle the issues facing the state; such as homelessness, high crime rates, tax burdens, lack of housing, and poor business conditions. If you want to help make California a better place and see a change in your community, please join me to Bring Back Liberty and vote Wildstar for Governor!

Questions & Answers

Questions from League of Women Voters of California Education Fund (3)

How would you address California’s need for affordable housing for low- and moderate-income earners? Please include specific proposals.
Answer from Nickolas Wildstar:

Housing costs will drop dramatically with Wildstar for Governor since I plan on eliminating all of the bureaucratic red tape that keeps developers from building more homes. Zoning laws, permit fees, regulatory provisions and other barriers holding back construction will all be removed to encourage home building on a massive scale. Property taxes will also be suspended which will result in reduced costs for homeowners and tenants all across California. With less government intrusion the housing market will begin to flourish like never before seen in the state.

How would you address the issue of California’s residents who are unhoused? Please include specific proposals.
Answer from Nickolas Wildstar:

The increase of homelessness could easily and quickly be reduced significantly if our tax dollars weren't being wastefully spent on expensive temporary solutions like Project Roomkey. Once I'm in office I will get to work on making sure unhoused families, veterans, and youth in California have a roof over their heads without putting a hole in taxpayers wallets. 3D printed homes utilize state of the art technology to affordably build self sustainable houses that can be built within 24hrs and costs less than $10K each. Earthships is another self sustainable home model that is built using upcycled materials like glass and plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and used tires which would also decrease the amount of trash that ends up in our landfills. Unfortunately there are those who end up on the street due to health issues regarding mental health or drug addiction so as Governor I will be making sure that they get the best care available by speedily providing resources to non profit organizations, churches, and individuals of the community that have built dependable relationships from their great amount of expertise. Any laws preventing someone in need from receiving a meal, or clothing, or shelter will be removed so that we The People may once again be free to act as caring neighbors to help each other when called upon.

What programs or legislation would you support to meet the water needs of all Californians?  Please include specific proposals.
Answer from Nickolas Wildstar:

Water rights is a complex issue since there are generational controllers involved but the droughts experienced could be avoided with better water management. Comprehensive legislation will be considered but to start taking steps towards conservation, holding state agencies accountable to meet CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) requirements would be action that I would take immediately. Incentivizing water reduction programs like closed loop aquaponic systems, rock farming, etc., large scale bioremediation projects to remove heavy metals, and establishing constant preservation of water runoff from Temperance Flats Dam, Sierra Nevada Watershed and the Sacramento Delta River are precautions I plan on taking once I'm Governor. Restoration of native American water rights and building awg's (atmospheric water generators) along the coastline is also a goal I'm aiming for to make sure California always has an abundance of water available for everyone.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I consider myself a Libertarian in the sense of a marriage between the ideologies of liberalism and conservatism, and I believe that societal peace can be achieved through the individual application of the Non-Aggression Principle, freedom, and responsibility as opposed to a hard enforcement of the rule of law. This is the foundation of my philosophy and the cornerstone of my beliefs.

I believe that without a victim, there is no crime. I believe that we need to maximize personal freedom to the extent that it doesn’t infringe on the equal freedom of others. I believe in sound money to keep inflation under control, costs down, and people secure. I believe that a free market without government intervention is the best economic system for humanity. I believe in doing away with mandated taxation. I believe that social programs should be privately funded and that government needs to get out of the way of being compassionate; and where taxpayer money is being used, it needs to be minimal and limited as well as carefully audited to ensure that it isn’t being wasted or misappropriated. I believe that our governments need to be doing whatever they can to lower the costs of services for taxpayers through innovation and enhanced efficiency. I believe in the inherent right of every individual to protect themselves and their property.

I believe that we need to achieve a world set free. I want that for my kids. I want them to grow up in a world of opportunity, where they have the freedom to be whatever they want to be. That’s why I do what I do. In order to get there, we have a lot of work to do. We need criminal justice overhaul, economic reform, more accountability and transparency, and we need to push for these things because the powers that be don't want to give them to us. But these things will make our communities safer and more prosperous. They will lower costs so that people can actually afford to live here and lift themselves out of poverty with new opportunities. They'll allow people to pursue their happiness how they deem fit. That’s a vision worth fighting for, and that’s my personal philosophy. I believe a libertarian future is the best way forward, and I hope that you’ll join me in making our society a place where freedom reigns and people prosper.
