Political Beliefs
Political Philosophy
I believe that public schools are one of the crucial elements in preparing young people for careers and for their participation in our society as active, informed voting members. Never expecting to run for office, I became interested in the work of school board trustees when I attended a public event at which teachers were encouraged to run for school boards.
Good schools make our communities stronger. Great schools are those in which diversity is considered a strength, in which each student's individuality is respected, and parents are always welcome to participate.
