My Top 3 Priorities

  • An equitable COVID-19 recovery that centers our collective well-being, keeps people housed, small business afloat, and does not balance the budget by cutting desperately needed public services that reach the most vulnerable community members.
  • Transformations in the way we create community safety that is life-affirming and creates safety that can be experienced by everyone. This will involve a data-driven reallocation of mass policing to social services that meet social problems
  • Real, actual affordable housing the kind of which that can be accessed by those experiencing the brunt of our housing crisis -- the very low, low and moderate income levels

Dear Santa Cruz, We are rising together for a new, better normal in Santa Cruz. + We will work hard for a COVID-19 recovery driven by our collective vision, our love for our community and our shared values around justice, compassion and determination. + We will move beyond the status quo of mass policing and systemic racism by centering of systems of care to address community needs. We're ready to put our money where our heart is on this. + We are clear in our call for real, actual affordable housing that provides access for those bearing the brunt of the housing crisis: the very low, low and moderate income levels. + We are calling in bold climate leadership and environmental justice that holds sacred our green and blue spaces and uplifts green infrastructure, jobs, and policies. There are big challenges ahead. We will have to fight for what we believe in. I'm here to tell you that I will never stop fighting for and with you, Santa Cruz. I'd be honored to earn your vote, rise to this moment with you and get to work on making your vision the new, better normal in Santa Cruz.
