Lissette was born and raised in Redwood City. They are a first-generation queer, non-binary Chicanx. As a caregiver and teaching assistant, my life centers around helping my community. They successfully organized to bring an ethnic studies program to Menlo-Atherton High School. As your Councilmember, they will continue to commit to seeking out marginalized voices and making sure all members of our community are finally represented in city decisions.

My Top 3 Priorities
- Covid Relief: Lissette wants to extend the eviction moratorium in our city, and prevent any evictions due to inability to pay. They would like to ensure PPE for all essential workers in Redwood City, allocate funds for rent relief, and citywide wifi
- Housing for All: Lissette’s stance is housing is a human right, and we must look into public housing options, since so-called affordable housing isn’t affordable to half the residents of Redwood City.
- Reinvesting in the Community: Lissette believes we must defund the $48.9M police budget, tax big business to invest in resources that are proven to reduce crime such as wellness centers, community-based food banks, free transportation and childcare.
