Biography

Endorsed by Congresswoman Jackie Speier, County Supervisor Don Horsley and town patriarch Cameron Palmer.

I have been honored to serve Half Moon Bay as mayor during an unprecedented year of drastic change.  This year saw the advent of the weekly mayor letter, a touchpoint keeping everyone in our community involved, informed, and allowing for the public to weigh on important city decisions before they are voted on by council.

In 2020 we installed the Poplar Beach stairs, a project near and dear to my heart.  We renegotiated the horse contract which locked in years of accessibility, while also keeping the horse poop off our valuable beach.  We will finish the Local Coastal Plan Update which will guide our city for the next 20-30 years.  We have hired competent and responsive staff, maintained fiscal discipline, and prioritized the safety of our residents during Covid by closing the beaches on the 4th of July.  We have made the tough choices needed to help our city thrive through these highly unusual times.

If you value the leadership I have provided over the past four years, please vote me in to represent you again.  I truly appreciate your vote of confidence.
