I have worked as a "community volunteer" for the Town of Atherton since 2006 when I was appointed to the General Plan Committee and Environmental Programs Committee.  In 2008 I was elected to the City Council of Atherton and have served with dignity, integrity and professionalism ever since.  

As the Town's liaison to the San Francisco Airport's Community Roundtable which represents all 21 cities in San Mateo County, starting in 2010, I was voted into leadership positions of Vice Chair 2014-2015 and Chair 2016-2019.  It has been an honor and a privilege to lead the discussion with the FAA, Congresswomen Speier and Eshoo, and the FAA to find solutions to the overhead noise in our San Mateo County due to Flight paths.

I have also served as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice Chair and Chair of the San Mateo County's "Council of Cities," coordinating and hosting monthly dinners for all elected members and guests of San Mateo County to attend.

In Atherton, I have been the leading force on Council to move along the new Civic Center project by having been on every committee working on the project since 2010.  The project is now under construction and will be finished early Fall 2021.

Environmentally, I have served on the Town's Environmental Programs' Committee, helping to host annual Earth Day Events and other projects to convince Atherton homowners' to reduce their GHG footprints.

Good government enhances the life experiences of the residents it serves by creating good policies.  Good policies require a broad view of what it is best for the community and not just what the individual council member desires.

Collaboration and working toward a common goal is how I like to approach the good governance of our Town.
