Political Beliefs
Political Philosophy
Keep Tam Valley Strong! I have served on the TCSD Board since 2004 and the district has never looked better: running popular events such as Creekside Fridays, operating a service-first garbage collection system, and keeping our sewer network flowing.
The next few years will present new challenges, requiring thoughtful and experienced leadership:The post-pandemic restart of our community-building Parks and Recreation programs, an accelerated construction program to renew the leakiest parts of our sewer infrastructure, and addressing the increasing regulations as our state government moves toward the goal of Zero Waste. While navigating these challenges, I will continue to advocate for innovative ideas that keep our expenditures as low as possible. This is a key role of being a Board Director – we don’t serve the agency or the staff – we serve you, our rate payers.

Summary
My goals for the future safety, health, and well-being of Tam Valley residents.
Working collaboratively with community residents, the TCSD management and other Board directors, I look forward to re-initiating our year round popular park and recreation programs, accelerating our upgarde and improvement program for our 65 year old sewer system, develping a 5 year financial and operational plan for our park and recreation division as we have done for our sewer and trash collection divisions, and working with our partner groups including the Neighborhood Respons Froup, Firewise, the Tamalpais Valley Improvement Club and our local law enforcement and fire department agencies.
Additionally, to continue my focus on providing first class services to our residents and businesses, while contining to build financial reserves for a secure financial future for Tam Valley.
