Experience

Biography

I’ve had the privilege of serving as your City Clerk for the last two years and supporting this office for over half a decade. I hope I can count on your support to keep serving our great city.

Over the past six years, I’ve worked to enhance transparency, making public records digital, searchable, and accessible from your mobile phone. I’ve made the application process for boards and commissions easier and vacancies more heavily promoted; this has led to a more diverse representation of our community. I’ve modernized and streamlined our operations, so we spend more time proactively serving San Rafael on critical issues such as the Census and district elections.

When the pandemic hit, and the shelter-in-place order prohibited large gatherings, I implemented virtual meetings that allowed for live commenting by phone and online chat. These meetings not only allowed the City to continue to conduct critical business, but we also saw increased engagement from the public especially from people who don’t normally participate in City Council meetings.

I value inclusivity and believe government should be transparent and responsive to community needs. As a native Marinite, it’s an honor to serve my community and I hope to earn your vote.
