I am lucky to be a life-long resident of San Rafael, and am grateful to have served as City Attorney for the past 13 years. My varied experiences as an attorney since 1991 have prepared me well for the interesting and challenging job of representing the City. My duties include attending City Council meetings, closed session meetings, and staff meetings; supervising in-house attorneys; managing all litigation involving the City; representing the City in Court; and providing day-to-day legal advice to the Mayor, City Council, City Manager, Police Chief, Fire Chief, and the other Department Directors and City staff. As the City's elected officials and staff address issues such as the pandemic response, impacts of homelessness, downtown real estate development, and social justice and equity, I look forward to continuing to guide them with careful legal opinions. It is a privilege to be in this position where I can provide help to our City on a daily basis. If I am fortunate enough to be re-elected, I promise to continue to provide the highest quality legal services to our City.
