Elected:
  • Ross Valley Sanitary Service District Board of Directors: 1996-1999
  • Marin County Democratic Central Committee 26 years from 1993 to January, 2020
  Appointed:
  • Past Chairperson & Commissioner, three terms appointed by the State Board of Education, State of California Curriculum and Instructional Materials Commission, 1993-1997
  • 1993- 2006 Dr. Long was nominated and selected by California State Department of Education under the authority of the California State Board of Education to conduct Certified Evaluations of under-performing Districts and schools mandated by law to improve.
  • For more than 12 years, Dr. Long worked closely with the responsibility of a management process toward significant higher student achievement in school reform. A time of some of the darkest years in student achievement in California education by Dr. Long’s “know how” and earning respect while instituting a training Program in turning around Districts and schools for higher achievement, and support of its community.

  Regional Honors: Dr. Eva Long has dedicated more than 21 years of service to the Marin Community College District as a Trustee. She has been recognized for her civic work since 1999 commitment to our College and our Marin Community.
